Türkiye resumes flights to Sulaymaniyah Airport
Turkey announced the resumption of flights to Sulaymaniyah International Airport after a ban of more than a year and a half, a move aimed at strengthening economic and tourism relations with Iraq.

Turkish media reported that Yahya Ustun, Head of Communications at Turkish Airlines, confirmed in a statement posted on his personal account that flights to Sulaymaniyah would resume soon, explaining that they would operate seven flights per week.

Ustun added that the goal of this step is to contribute to strengthening commercial, cultural, and tourism ties between Iraq and Turkey and to end the restrictions imposed on Sulaymaniyah Airport since April 2023.
