raqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries with UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of his participation in the Sharm el-Sheikh Summit on Gaza.

A statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office said on Monday (October 13, 2025) that al-Sudani met with UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the Sharm el-Sheikh Summit on Gaza.

According to the statement, the meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance prospects for joint cooperation in various fields, serving the mutual interests of the two countries.

The meeting also addressed the overall situation and developments on the regional and international scene, emphasizing the importance of supporting efforts to halt the aggression on Gaza, rebuild it, and provide basic needs for Palestinian citizens.

The statement indicated that "the meeting also discussed cooperation in the strategic "Development Road" project and its associated projects, and the need to intensify joint efforts to overcome obstacles and activate signed agreements, ensuring economic integration and supporting regional security and stability."

Al-Sudani had held a series of meetings with a number of kings, presidents, and heads of government. He also met with the Secretary-Generals of the United Nations and the Arab League, as well as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, on the sidelines of his participation in the Sharm el-Sheikh Conference in the Arab Republic of Egypt on the situation in Gaza.

Al-Sudani met with the Kings of Jordan and Bahrain, the Presidents of Palestine, Azerbaijan, and Cyprus, the German Chancellor, and the Prime Ministers of Britain, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Armenia.

According to the statement, the meetings addressed "joint relations, ways to develop them in various fields, and the importance of developing prospects for joint cooperation in a manner that brings mutual benefit to brotherly and friendly peoples."
