VATICAN CITY, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Britain's King Charles and Pope Leo prayed together in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel on Thursday, the first joint prayer between an English monarch and a Catholic pope since Henry VIII broke with Rome in 1534.
Latin hymns and prayers in English echoed through the chapel before Michelangelo's frescoes depicting Christ at the Last Judgment. This is the same chapel where Catholic cardinals elected Pope Leo, the first American pope, six months ago.
