The Prime Minister confirms that all requirements have been met for the success of the new school year.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed on Sunday that all requirements are in place for the success of the new school year.

"Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani visited Al-Sadrain High School for the Distinguished in Sadr City, east of Baghdad, where he attended the flag-raising ceremony and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq's martyrs, in the presence of the Minister of Education. The school bell then rang to announce the start of the new 2025-2026 school year, and the flag-raising ceremony was also held."

According to the statement, the Prime Minister congratulated "students and the educational community across Iraq on the start of the new school year, which he described as a launch that signals the beginning of a new renaissance in our country, witnessing development, reconstruction, and services, as well as a new beginning in the process of nation-building."

He emphasized that "the government, through the Ministry of Education, will provide more to meet all requirements for the success of the current academic year. He explained that what is provided to the educational community is not an honor, but rather a recognition of the role of teachers in society and in building the nation." He noted that "the government is keen to complete many important infrastructure projects and ensure the success of the educational process."

The Prime Minister urged "his students to excel and succeed, to focus on their studies, to listen to their teachers, and to pay attention to the curriculum," stressing that "he receives the most distinguished students every year, and will receive a new elite group at the end of the academic year to celebrate and honor them for their creativity and excellence."
