The National Security Service announced on Thursday that it had addressed 564 social media accounts that threatened public safety.
National Security Service spokesman Arshad al-Hakim said in a statement received by Iraq Times Agency that "564 social media accounts that threatened public safety were addressed."
He added that "1,581 tons of smuggled and expired medicines and foodstuffs were also seized and destroyed, and 285 unlicensed warehouses, restaurants, and tourism companies were shut down and addressed within two months."
He noted that "31 individuals accused of belonging to extremist movements were also arrested."
