The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Sunday that it has distributed more than 2.5 million biometric voter cards to date, noting that the process of receiving the cards at designated polling centers will begin next Wednesday.

IHEC spokesperson Jumana al-Ghalai stated, "The IHEC is currently continuing its work distributing biometric voter cards through 1,079 registration centers, having distributed approximately 2,500,000 cards."

She added, "The distribution of cards will continue until election day. Voters can go to their registration center or governorate office to collect their biometric card in order to vote."

She continued, "As part of its preparations, the IHEC has delivered ballot papers and information on polling centers to the governorate electoral offices for election day, November 11." She pointed out that "our taking over the schools will begin on Wednesday, November 5th, and continue until the following Thursday, November 13th, for the purpose of installing cameras. Three cameras will be installed in each polling center and two cameras in each station, and they will also be equipped with the logistical and technical materials for the electoral process."
