Sudanese official after the elections: The government has fulfilled its most important commitments and adhered to the constitutional timelines.

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed on Tuesday that the government has fulfilled one of its most prominent commitments outlined in its executive program, noting its adherence to constitutional timelines and requirements to ensure the peaceful transfer of power.

In a statement, al-Sudani said, "Once again, our noble Iraqi people, in all their fraternal diversity and across every corner of our beloved homeland, have taken a remarkable step, advancing towards greater stability and success, and consolidating the democratic system that reflects their free constitutional will and their desire to continue the path of nation-building and strengthening its institutions."

He continued, "With the successful organization and implementation of the sixth parliamentary elections, through their legal and executive mechanisms, and in accordance with our permanent Iraqi constitution, the government has fulfilled one of its most prominent commitments outlined in its executive program, in addition to its adherence to constitutional timelines and requirements to ensure the peaceful transfer of power, and the formation of the government based on the free choices of the Iraqi people." He added: "On this occasion, I extend my appreciation, gratitude, and praise to every patriotic Iraqi citizen who participated and demonstrated their confidence through their national choice by casting their vote, believing in the difficult path of democracy, for which Iraqis have made immeasurable sacrifices."

He continued: "Thanks are also due to the legislative and judicial authorities, our valiant armed forces in all their branches and formations, the Independent High Electoral Commission, the national political forces, all public events, social organizations, civil society organizations, the media and press, and representatives of international organizations, for their professional duty, participation, support, and assistance, which contributed decisively to the success of the voting process."
