A rare "Pokémon" card sold for over $16 million.
YouTuber and American wrestler Logan Paul sold an extremely rare Pokémon card for a record-breaking $16.5 million (£12 million), according to the auction house.

Paul had purchased the Pikachu card—the best-preserved version of one of the rarest Pokémon cards ever—for $5.3 million (£3.9 million) in 2021, a record at the time.

According to the auction house Golden, he has now sold it for $16.492 million, including the buyer's fee.

The winning bidder was venture capitalist A.J. Scaramucci, son of financier and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci. A.J. Scaramucci said it was the first acquisition in what he called a planned "planetary treasure hunt."
