US envoy Tom Barrack praised the oil agreement signed between Iraq and Turkey on Saturday, describing it as reflecting "brilliant diplomatic leadership" from both sides.

"The Iraq-Turkey oil agreement is a testament to brilliant diplomatic leadership from both sides," Barrack wrote in a post on the X platform.

Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi announced on Saturday the signing of an agreement between Iraq and Turkey regarding the transport and loading of Iraqi crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to the port of Ceyhan, with a minimum capacity of 750,000 barrels per day.

"This is an important strategic achievement to ensure the smooth flow of our oil exports and enhance economic cooperation between Iraq and Turkey," al-Zaidi wrote in a post on the X platform. "The two sides signed an agreement today regarding the transport and loading of Iraqi crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to the port of Ceyhan, with a minimum capacity of 750,000 barrels per day."
