Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez next weekend in a lavish ceremony in Madeira.
According to the British newspaper The Sun, the 41-year-old Ronaldo and his 32-year-old partner will exchange vows at Funchal Cathedral before moving their wedding reception to the luxurious five-star Savoy Palace Hotel.
Earlier reports had suggested the couple would tie the knot at Quinta da Regaleira farm in Sintra this weekend.
However, these rumors were later dispelled when it emerged that the farm would be open to the public during the holiday period.
The British newspaper reported that Ronaldo will indeed exchange vows at the cathedral, where wedding ceremonies typically begin at 3 p.m., before moving to the Savoy Palace Hotel, which boasts four restaurants.
