Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed on Wednesday that the decision to end the international coalition's mission in Iraq on September 30 is final and irreversible.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Nu'man, stated that "Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Faleh al-Zaidi chaired a meeting of the National Security Council on Wednesday, during which the regional situation and developments were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the importance of taking steps to protect Iraq's supreme interests and consolidate the foundations of de-escalation and stability."
According to the statement, al-Zaidi stressed "the importance of strengthening the rule of law, developing security and military institutions, and consolidating economic and social stability, thereby ensuring the preservation of the state's prestige and enhancing citizens' trust in their official institutions."
He reiterated that "the decision to end the international coalition's mission in Iraq on September 30 is final and irreversible," emphasizing "the implementation of the highest level of security plans, supporting internal stability, and guaranteeing national sovereignty."
Al-Zaydi: September 30th is the final deadline for the end of the international coalition's mission, and there is no going back.
