A Kurdish man died Thursday evening in a tragic incident near Al-Karama Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, after being left outside the hospital in direct sunlight for several hours, according to several witnesses.
The deceased was identified as Azad Ali Ali Abdullah, from the Rania district.
According to available information, Azad, who had no one to care for him, was admitted to Al-Karama Hospital earlier that day. He was then taken out and placed on a stretcher outside the hospital, where he remained from approximately 11:00 AM until around 8:00 PM.
Witnesses reported that his health deteriorated significantly due to the extreme heat and his underlying health condition, before he ultimately passed away.
The same sources indicated that the deceased lived alone in a room opposite the hospital, under difficult living conditions, without anyone to care for him or provide for his basic needs.
The incident raises questions about the circumstances of what happened and the conditions that led to the man remaining outside the hospital for hours, while no official explanation has yet been issued regarding the details of the incident.
