The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, condemned the drone attacks on the region on Monday, emphasizing that they constitute a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region.
In a post on the X platform, which was monitored by Iraq Times Agency, Barzani stated, "Based on information and investigations conducted by the Kurdistan Region's Counter-Terrorism Directorate, it has been confirmed that my personal office and the residence of the head of the Parastin Agency were targeted today by Iranian drone attacks."
He added, "I condemn in the strongest terms these reckless and unacceptable attacks," stressing that "they constitute a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the region's security and stability."
He emphasized, "Such attacks will not deter us from continuing to perform our duties and protect our citizens."
