The Counter-Terrorism Service announced, on Monday, the implementation of 40 airstrikes and the destruction of 49 hideouts and a vehicle bomb prepared for detonation in the Hamrin Mountains.
The service stated, "Our detachments, in coordination and cooperation with (the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, the National Security Service, the First Special Forces Division, and the Sulaymaniyah Counter-Terrorism Regiment), carried out a series of extensive operations to reconnoiter, set up ambushes, and search ISIS hideouts in Salah al-Din Governorate, Hamrin Mountains (Wadi al-Shai)."
He added, "These operations included the implementation of (40) airstrikes, the search and destruction of (49) hideouts and caves, in addition to the detonation of a vehicle bomb prepared for detonation, (40) mortar shells, (80) rocket launchers, (8) explosive devices, and a number of explosive materials."
Counter-terrorism: 40 airstrikes carried out, 49 hideouts and a vehicle loaded with explosives were destroyed in Hamrin.
