Today, Sunday, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, President of the Arab World Innovation Congress, welcomed Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani's proposal to make Baghdad the headquarters of the Congress.
Al-Sudani's media office said in a statement received by Alsumaria News that the latter "received Abu-Ghazaleh and his accompanying delegation and affirmed that Iraq supports any project that consolidates and enhances Arab knowledge, including hosting any event that supports innovation and entrepreneurship."

The Prime Minister expressed "Iraq's readiness to host the Arab World Innovation Congress," noting that "Iraq has schools for the gifted, which are being developed and expanded to include all governorates."
He explained that "the government has worked to establish the National Center for Digital Transformation and the National Center for Cybersecurity to develop policies and programs and review similar experiences. This will then move to finalizing legislation upon completion of the digital transformation plan."
For his part, Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his "welcome to the Prime Minister's proposal that the Arab World Innovation Congress be headquartered in Baghdad," noting that "the criteria for economic and wealth are no longer solely based on hydrocarbon wealth, but rather on a knowledge economy, which requires incorporating programming concepts and mechanisms into all curricula."
